BODY & APPEARANCE:
- Chopped top okay
- 1980 older cars only
- No modern scoops or snorkel
- All cars should follow period correct theme
including paint, primer, and graphics.
Nothing modern this will be left up to SAM,s discretion
- Must be Full bodied cars/trucks with working doors. No motorcycles
Fender less coupes and factory body style roadsters are allowed
- Must have windshield and side glass,
Plexiglas/Lexan okay
SUSPENSION/CHASSIS:
- Front straight axle/drop straight axle only no A arm style front suspension allowed
- No full round tube frame. Must be rectangle
box main frame if non factory rear all 4-link/ladder
bar/traction bar suspension will be accepted. Front ladder bar rod ends must have safety straps
ENGINE/DRIVETRAIN/FUEL:
- Any intake carb combo or period correct
mechanical injection (no electronic injection
allowed)
No nitro/nitrous oxide allowed.
- Root style blower is fine. No modern turbos or
centrifugal type blowers.
- Aluminum radiators are okay
- Aluminum blocks and/or cylinder heads okay.
Blocks must be painted
- NO starting line rev limiters/2 step/3 steps or electronic controlled devices to limit ignition rpm on starting line or down track allowed.
- Only rpm limiting device allowed will be to
protect engine from over revving
- No transmission shift solenoid Must
shift manually or allow transmission to shift
itself.
- Any ignition box allowed as long as it’s not programmable. No Grid type systems allowed.

- No form of electronic or pneumatic down track, or timed throttle stop allowed. This includes mechanical devices bolted between the carburetor and intake to restrict air flow.

-Throttle must be manually operated by drivers’ foot

-A mechanical adjustable throttle rod or hard stop under the throttle or carburetor linkage OK

-A positive hard stop or override prevention should be used to keep linkage from passing over center and sticking in an open position on the throttle assembly.
- Must be self-starting
- No electronic data recorders
- No delay boxes allowed in car - No exceptions!
- Long throw trans brake switches, time delay relays or electronic devices which delay the car leaving the start line not allowed in the car and must be removed
- Once you dial an index, no changing your index during eliminations for that race, this applies to buy backs

ALL TRACKS SAFETY RULES ARE IN EFFECT. IT'S YOUR JOB TO KNOW WHAT THEY ARE!
- All drivers must wear seat belts and helmet along with other safety apparel in accordance with track rules
- driveshaft loop, maximum 6 inches behind
universal joints at transmission, Neutral safety switch mandatory
- Manual transmission must have blow proof bell
housing
- NO crying allowed
- Points stay with driver
- Dial in index every .25 to represent 6.0, 6.25, 6.50, 6.75, 7.0 and on.

- After drivers first round is completed, driver cannot switch cars to finish elimination in the event of a failure
